Overview

Valerie is a 2D adventure game by Jole that mixes lively retro-inspired platforming with a personal story.

In a valley town tucked away in the uplands, Valerie's story unfolds - play from the perspectives of both her younger and older selves to see different sides of the story.

Her mysteriously obtained powers aren't particularly useful for fighting, but they're fun! Use the bubble-gun ability to trap things in bubbles, and use the boost ability to propel yourself - with a bit of practice, these powers will let you find ways to traverse the landscape.

Current features of the demo

• 1-2 hour story mode to experience
• Funky and creative platforming
• Mel's Map, where you can revisit areas from story mode with challenges
• Secret collectibles to find such as trinkets and upgrades
• Lots of cats (sometimes)

• Windows 8 or above
• Mac + Linux versions not yet available
• Customisable controller and keyboard support (if you run into issues, please let me know directly so I can include fixes in future updates)
